Engineering the TC 50 Platform

The primary issue with the 50cc platform is the factory squish clearance, which is often loose (>1.2mm). This lacks the compression velocity needed to snap the centrifugal clutch with authority. We machine the cylinder base and re-profile the head to achieve a tight 0.8mm clearance, drastically improving combustion efficiency.

Transfer port heights on the 50 are notoriously mismatched from the factory. We blueprint these to ensure symmetrical timing, allowing the engine to breathe evenly. This eliminates the 'stumble' often felt just before the pipe hits.

Thermal management is critical for the clutch. By increasing engine efficiency and reducing the need to slip the clutch to find power, we lower the overall operating temperature of the transmission oil, preventing fade during long motos.
